The owner is Michele Graves Smith a graduate of the University of South Carolina and a sun-worshipper fascinated by all aspects of tanning.
Island Tan in Five Points opened in 1993 with high performance tanning beds. Island Tan was the first tanning salon in South Carolina with the Quadro© High Pressure water bed tanning unit. In 2003 after years of research and perfecting solutions and techniques Michele added a sunless tanning. Today Island Tan is a premier destination for spray tanning offering advanced solutions for the best tan.
